Straker Foundation Announces “Start to Finish” Grant Cycle

ZANESVILLE, OH – The J.W. & M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation is excited to announce its “Start to Finish” grant cycle for Fall of 2024.
This special opportunity is perfect for projects that can be fully completed with a grant of $20,000 or less. Eligible projects must stand alone, meaning they should not be a part of a larger ongoing project or the completion of a previous one.
“A project will qualify for this if it can be done in its entirety for $20,000 or less. Something like an equipment purchase, a technology upgrade that would really help the organization, security enhancements, or book supplies. That kind of thing would qualify.” Senior Program Director, Pamela Kirst said.
The application window opens on September 3rd and closes on September 30th, 2024. The foundation will announce the recipients by the end of October. All applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online portal on the Straker Foundation website. Paper submissions will not be accepted. With this cycle, along with other grants given throughout the year, the foundation will distribute over four million dollars in 2024.
“Our two big grant cycles and individual grants that we give during other times of the year, we will be giving away somewhere between 4 and a half and 5 million dollars this year.” President/Executive Director, Susan Holdren said.
If you have any questions about the application process, reach out to the foundation staff by calling (740) 297-7007 or emailing info@strakerfoundation.org.
