UPDATE: Maple Avenue Stabbing Incident

Zanesville Police are investigating a stabbing incident Wednesday.

It happened at the Cashland on Maple Avenue just after 2PM. LT Bill Shaw says the victim, who is from Perry County, told police he recently reported that he had some tools stolen. Today he encountered two men in Cashland trying to pawn his stolen tools and a confrontation occurred. Shaw says one of the men pulled a knife and cut the victim on the hand. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of the minor injury. The two suspects fled the scene and remain at large. There is no description but the men were believed to be driving a gold Acura.
