Rally in the Alley for Hope

ZANESVILLE, OH- The first ever Rally in the Alley for Hope hosted by The Downtown Exchange took place today. The event is dedicated to raising awareness and support for breast cancer.
The rally was open to the public for free and featured a variety of activities including fun for the kids, water balloons, a cruise-in and live music.
“We are so excited, so one of our vendors Andrea Bowman who owns Gypsy Pizza was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, she came to us and asked if we could do a breast cancer awareness event and we thought absolutely, why not support a cause and a cancer that effects so many people, so many women in the community,” said The Downtown Exchange Co-owner, Cara Dodson.
The money raised from the rally will go to the Genesis Foundation Women’s Boutique which provides essentials resources and items for women battling breast cancer.
“Breast cancer effects so many, so many women, so many families, so many moms, grandmas, sisters, aunts, so if we can contribute to that, to help, help in the cause, why not? And as you can see bubbles flying everywhere, like it’s great, it’s been a wonderful day,” said Dodson.
The Downtown Exchange hopes to continue to support the Women’s Boutique with more events in the future.
