Zanesville Concert Association’s Kick Off to their 85th Season

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville Concert Association is gearing up for their 85th concert season.
To help celebrate this milestone, the Concert Association will be hosting a kick off party on Saturday August 24th from 11 AM to 1PM at Secrest Auditorium.
Sheryl Wise, the President of the Concert Association, says there will be fun for those of all ages.
“We are going to celebrate, we’re going to have live music. We have the Dixieland Band from the Memorial Band.” Wise said. “We have Dr. Laura from the SouthEastern Ohio Symphony, we have Steve Spires Band, we’ll have free Kona Ice for everybody. Cupcakes as long as we can last with them, cause you can’t have a party without some cupcakes!”
Along with all of the events, the Concert Association will also be announcing the lineup of concerts that are coming to town.
Jim McLaughlin, the Booking Agent, says this is a season of music you will not want to miss.
“We’re having 5 concerts in Zanesville and then 5 reciprocal concerts in Mt. Vernon.” McLaughlin said. “So if you buy a membership, what a bargain, 10 concerts for one price. But the opening Concert is honoring Tony Bennett with Michael Feinstein, since Tony passed away a year ago.”
Some of the other concerts include the Columbus Symphony, The Vienna Boys Choir, and the Duttons from Branson Missouri.
