Three Local Schools To Attend March For Life
January 22nd marks the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision and three local Catholic Schools are making a trip to Washington D.C to take part in the annual March for Life.
St. Rose School who organized the trip, Bishop Rosecrans and Fisher Catholic will be attending. We spoke to Laura Hagy, Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for Rosecrans who told us why they take part in the March each year.
“We’re doing this because as Catholics we value all human life and this is a chance for us to show our support for the unborn children and to show our support that we value life from conception to natural death.”
The March for life has been going on every year since 1973. About 53 people will be making the trip from Southeast Ohio to D.C. Hagy told us she feels the girls really enjoy being able to take part in this.
“I think that they’re excited about going. I think it will be a moving experience for them and I think it will be a very valuable experience.”
The schools leave for the March Wednesday and will be back on Friday. Hagy says the schools will also be going to Mass and will take part in a rally on Wednesday.
