Muskingum River Rescue
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Two juveniles were rescued from the Muskingum River Tuesday when they became stuck on ice. Deputy fire chief of the Zanesville Fire Department Eric Waltemire said that you should never go out onto the ice for safety reasons.
Two Bodies Found in Perry Township
PERRY TOWNSHIP, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a man and a woman found dead in a home in Perry Township. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been called to assist in the investigation.

Legislators say that this legislative session they’ll begin to tackle the growing issue. Representative Brian Hill, who chairs the House Agriculture Committee said they’ll hold meetings in the Grand Lake St. Mary’s Watershed to figure out a solution.
