Second Annual In Loving Memory event this weekend

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Second Annual In Loving Memory event is happening at Gant Stadium on Townsend Street this weekend.
The event is free and serves as a way for people in the community to come together to recognize the loves ones they have lost. Tomorrow there will be a bounce house, free face painting, vendors, food, music and more.
“The significance of this and the history behind it, I lost my husband last year, and it was actually doing the project to begin with that was a way to help me get through my grieving and kind of occupy my mind a little bit, and it was for me to help keep his memory alive, I invited a lot of the vendors to display photos and stuff of loved ones they have also lost, so a lot of the vendors have pictures and stuff out and so do I,” said Jan Miracle, the In Loving Memory Host.
In Loving Memory also donates proceeds from the event to help children in need.
“All of our donations and proceeds are going to Muskingum County Children Services Kinship program, and I chose that program this year because it is special to me because I have five kids that I have through the Kinship Program and a lot of people are not aware of that, but there are so many kids in the foster care system and the Kinship Program is actually a way to try to keep them out of foster care and place them with family members or long standing people that they know to keep a tight bond,” said Miracle.
Tomorrow is the final day of the event, be sure to stop by Gant Stadium from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. to find out more information.
