Caldwell Homecoming Threat; Person of Interest in Custody

Caldwell, OH- The Noble County Sheriff’s Office said a person is in custody after they received credible information that an armed individual had made violent threats involving the Caldwell High School homecoming.

Sheriff Mackie along with all Noble County Deputies both on and off duty were immediately summoned and dispatched to the school to protect the children, staff and secure the premises. Additional mutual aid was requested.

A short time after securing the school students and staff were escorted to their vehicles to ensure that everyone was able to safely clear the scene. Once secure the Noble County Sheriff’s Office continued their investigation. A person of interest was located and taken into custody. The investigation is on-going.
