United Way To Hold Investment Training
The United Way of Muskingum Perry and Morgan counties is offering investment training to the public.
Wednesday, February 11th two sessions will be offered at the John McIntire library. One at 1:30PM and another at 5:30PM. Meg Deedrick, Executive Director of the local United Way told us a little more about the purpose.
"The last couple of stories that we’ve been talking about or that people have been hearing us talk a lot about campaign and raising money to improve the quality of life in our community, specifically in the areas of income education and access to healthcare. But now we’re shifting gears into investment and to partnering with people to make those changes."
Deedrick said attendees will have the chance to learn what the United Way investment process will look like this year. Deedrick said it is geared toward anyone, both current and potential donors. Deedrick told us it will be an informative event.
"It’s letting people know what the investment process is going to be like and what specifically that we’re looking for so that they can fill out as strong an application as possible. That’s why we require this for anyone that’s applying for funding and we actually also require a letter of intent from those who haven’t partnered with us before, so that we’re making sure that we’re both on the same page and that we’re not wasting anybody’s time."
Though it is not required, it is preferred that you RSVP to the event. You can do so by e-mailing Amy Davis who’s address can be found on the United Way website. You can also call the United Way and let them know you wish to attend.
The number to do so is: (740)454-6872
