Snow Emergencies
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – As of 7:30 A.M. Coshocton, Licking, Morgan and Nobel Counties are under a Level 1 Snow Emergency. Muskingum, Guernsey and Perry Counties are under a Level 2 Snow emergency.
Winter Weather Accidents
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – A five car injury-accident occurred on Eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 146 at approximately 9:30 P.M. Monday evening. A separate accident involving a semi had I-70 down to one lane until 4:00 A.M. Tuesday morning.
Duncan Falls Fire
DUNCAN FALLS, OHIO (WHIZ) – A house fire broke out Monday at the intersection of Main and Millers Lane in Duncan Falls. Three people and a kitten inside were rescued by off-duty firemen.
Veterans First
ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Department of Veterans Affairs is offering up $300-million worth of grant money to combat veteran homelessness, and the local organization, veterans First, is working to see some of that money in Zanesville. The Salvation Army, Eastside Community Ministries, the City of Zanesville and the Muskingum County Commissioners are assisting in the process.
Spring Break Event
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its Annual Spring Break Event which will be held March 27, at the North Terrace Church of Christ. The event looks to recognize the member business of the Chamber of Commerce.
