City Tire Pros Players Of The Week (week 8)

Muskingum Co-  We are now in the final week of the high school football season and we’re taking time to honor those that made a difference in Week 9.

The City Tire Pros players of the week include West Muskingum’s Carter Smith. Smith was the Highway 103 and the Community Bank Game of the Week player of the game. Smith was able to catch a 46-yard touchdown pass in the first half and then add to the lead late in the 2nd quarter with a huge punt return for his second touchdown of the game. The Tornadoes defeated the Coshocton Redskins 44-0.

On Z92 it was the battle for the MVL Big School Title between the Tri-Valley Scotties and the Sheridan Generals. The Scotties came up with the 21-9 win. Tri-Valley’s lineman and punter Chris Gargasz was named player of the game. He helped flip field positions multiple times in the first half with only a 7 point lead giving Tri-Valley’s defense the upper hand. They improve to 9-0.

Finally, on AM1240 it was Zanesville’s Caleb Underwood. He had a strong defensive game snatching up 8 tackles, 2 for losses from his defensive position.
