Dwight Minner

Dwight L. Minner Sr., 95, passed away Sunday morning, October 27, 2024, with his special friend, Mary Green, by his side at Altercare of Zanesville.
Born July 19, 1929, in Zanesville, a son of the late Ernest and Clarabelle (Mount) Minner. Dwight retired from Smurfit Stone Container after 50 years of service. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the Zanesville VFW Post 1058 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #302. Dwight was a farmer and loved his tractors and cows.
Surviving are his two sons, Dana Minner and Dwight L. (Wynona) Minner Jr.; four grandchildren, Corrie (Rob) Cunningham, Lori Minner, Jessica (Braden) Gibbs and Travis (Casie Stotts) Minner; eight great grandchildren, Ryan, Kasey, Jessica, Ronin, Kaydance, Khloe, Trey and Landon; and special friend, Mary Green.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Towning) Minner, who died August 24, 2004; two brothers, Wendell and Gary; a sister, Martha Rose; and special live in friend, Thelma Boyd.
Family and friends may visit, 2-4pm & 6-8pm, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
