Snow Emergency

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – As of 8:00 Morgan and Perry Counties are under a Level 1 Snow Emergency.

Church Hill Road

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Monday, Bennett Woerner and his attorney met with county commissioners and the county engineer in hopes to have Church Hill Road vacated or repaired by Westmoreland Coal. Commissioners have asked Doug Davis to contact the Muskingum County Prosecutor to see if there’s any legal steps they can take against the coal company in order to take action.

"Project Prepare"

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – As part of the new program Project, Prepare, the Red Cross is holding free half hour compression only CPR classes this Thursday. The classes will take place at Zane State and OUZ from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the campus center and from 11:00 A.M. until 1:45 P.M. at Denison University on the 3rd floor of Slayter Hall.

State of the State Address

COLUMBUS, OHIO (AP) – Governor John Kasich today goes to Wilmington as the republican delivers his annual State of the State Address. Kasich is expected to appeal to state lawmakers to back major policy changes on education, social programs and tax policy.

Marijuana Petition Rejected 

COLUMBUS, OHIO (WHIZ) – State Attorney General Mike Dewine has rejected a petition for a proposal to legalize marijuana. The group Responsible Ohio is pushing to get the constitutional amendment before voters this year or next.
