ZANESVILLE, OH – Florafino’s Flowers and Gifts gave back to a local military group today.

As a part of their Customer Appreciation Day a few weeks ago, 20% of each sale made that day went into a collection for Warriors to Wilderness.

Jessica Tysinger, the Owner of Florafino’s, says they were able to raise a little over $1,000 from their Customer Appreciation day.

She says it’s an amazing feeling knowing they’re giving back to those who served our country

“We are so grateful, the community just, the day was just a blessing all together.” Tysinger said. “Everyone came out, the support was truly amazing and what Jason is doing with Warriors to Wilderness is just admirable.”

Warriors to Wilderness is an organization that helps veterans who may struggle with processing their PTSD as well as reintegration back into civilian life.

Jason Maxwell, the CEO and Founder of Warriors to Wilderness, says it’s important to have programs like this for past service members because this allows them to connect with other veterans while also enjoying the outdoors.

He says they’re so grateful for Florafino’s for giving them this donation to keep their mission going.

“It’s an absolute blessing.” Maxwell said. “Part of what keeps the doors open for Warriors to Wilderness is relying on donations and contributions like that.”

Tysinger says there are already plans in the works for next year’s Customer Appreciation Day.
