City Tire Pros: Players of the Week 11

It’s time for round 2 of the high school football playoffs, but first we have to announce round 1’s players of the week sponsored by City Tire Pros.
On Z92 the MVL Big School Champion Tri-Valley got a huge 43-12 win over Carrollton. Some of their success goes to Scotties tailback Jayden Wallace. The senior ran for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Scotties host Dover on Friday that game can be heard on Z92.
Over on Highway 103 the MVL Small School Champions New Lexington hosted Canton South. The Panthers victory thanks to Carson Kellogg. Kellogg ran for over 190 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kellogg told WHIZ before the game he wouldn’t be satisfied unless he left everything on the field. Kellogg and the Panthers take on Logan Elm Friday, that game can be heard on Highway 103.
In our game on AM-1240 West Muskingum’s kicker Silas Kuhn took home player of the week honors. He was a perfect 4-4 on extra points and converted multiple onside kids that set West up with great field position. They gutted out a 34-26 win and will be on the road to take on Fairland. The game can be heard on AM1240.
West Muskingum was also the Community Bank MVL Game of the Week. They named Tornadoes Cooper McKenzie as their player of the game. McKenzie recorded multiple tackles and snatched a clutch interception to change the momentum for West in their win over Africentric.
