International Education Week Continues at Ohio University Zanesville
ZANESVILLE, OH – Monday marked the beginning of International Education Week at Ohio University Zanesville.
While the event takes place at the Ohio University Zanesville campus, they have partnered with the main campus in Athens for a week of celebratory events. These events are open to everyone and are a great opportunity to explore new cultures and worldviews.
“This whole week we have international education week taking place here on campus. We’ve hosted activities every day and it’s going to continue all the way until Thursday, and everything is open to the public,” Heather Sands-Davis Manager of Campus Communications and External Relations at OUZ said. “We’ve had a lot of different activities! The education students have put together international games and there is also a bake sale that benefits our nursing students.”
The games were crafted by sophomore students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education ECEE 3801 class and their professors. The games have been researched by the students over the course of the semester and are beneficial for students looking to learn about different cultures.
“I think that it’s great for us,” Sands-Davis continued. “Every year we host international education week here on campus and every year students take on their own activities, they plan their own programs that can be open to the public and they just generally want to be able to share the different cultures and experiences that they’ve learned.”
There are two days of International Education Week left, so be sure to stop by the OUZ campus to take part in these events. For more information about the events, you can visit the OUZ website or their social media for a more detailed description of the events taking place.
