Adkins to Headline Muskingum Co. Fair
166 days stand between now and the 169th Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair.
And fans of country music will be pleased to hear that this year’s concert is Trace Adkins. Adkins last played the fair in 2004 and organizers said the show was so well received there was no question on whether or not to bring him back.
Ticket sales will also benefit a special project.
“For every ticket sold one dollar will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and we think that’s a great project and Trace is very much involved with that program,” said Muskingum Co. Fair Board President Darrel Cubbison
The Adkins concert will take place on Friday, August 21 at 8pm. Another new event this year is the US Freestyle MotoCross Championship Series. This is the first year the event is a show and not a contest.
“This is where they’ll be flipping in the air. They let loose of their bikes and somehow they get a hold of them again and it’s just quite a show,” explained Cubbison.
Tickets for the Adkins show will go on sale April 4 at 9am. They can be purchased only at the Muskingum County Fair’s website.
Track seat are $26, grandstand $16. There’s a limit of eight tickets per transaction. Tickets do not include admission to the fair.
The Muskingum County Fair runs August 16-22.
