Koreen “Jill” Hutchison

Koreen Jill Hutchison, 64, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Genesis Hospice. Jill was born November 17, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl Kenneth Hutchison and Marilyn Louise (Neff) (Hutchison) Savage. In addition to her parents, Jill is also preceded in death by her step-father, Frank Savage; and step-mother, Wanda Jo Hutchison.

Jill leaves to cherish her memory, her partner, Carma Patterson; step-children, Candace Patterson and Derrik Patterson; siblings, Joleen Watkins and Virginia E. Hendershot; nieces and nephews, Carl Watkins, Haylee Hendershot, Case Hendershot and Camdyn Hendershot; several step-siblings as well as step-nieces and nephews; step-grandchildren, Aaliyah Adams, Gwenlyne Cates, Kacey Cates, D.J., Aubree and Jace Patterson; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Jill was a graduate of Cambridge High School class of 1979. She went on to dedicate her service to the United States as a member of the Air Force. Jill attended the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute, and she also studied accounting at MATC. She was employed by the United States Postal Service for many years before taking her retirement. Jill was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Eagles. She was an avid bowler when health permitted it, playing in various leagues. Jill enjoyed golfing, fishing and she loved to be in her swimming pool. She was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes as well as the Cleveland Browns. Jill enjoyed being around people, talking, laughing and making memories. She will be missed by many.

You may call on the family Monday, December 16, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St., Zanesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America at lupus.org.
