2 Indicted in Elderly Couple Murder

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – 29-year-old Robert Clark and 21-year-old Jeffrey Stewart are both facing charges in the slayings of 88-year-old Doyle Chumney and his 79-year-old wife, Lillian from Tuscarawas County. An indictment released Wednesday charges Clark with multiple counts of aggravated murder with death penalty specifications for using a gun. Stewart’s aggravated murder charges do not include those specifications.

Zanesville State of the City Address

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton gave his State of the City address Monday evening. Tilton reported that the police and fire departments are up to full staffing. Tilton also shares good financial news stating that budget is balanced and we have a contingency fund.

Canned Food Drive

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Jesikah Troutt and Tonni Meadows, along with their classmates at Foxfire in the JOGS program will be attending the higher career association conference Wednesday at OUZ. At the event they will present their "Students for Service" project. A donation of 300 food cans for Christ’s Table.

Man Charged with 12th OVI

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Zanesville Highway Patrol Lt. Matt Boyd says 55-year-old Thomas Davis was arrested last Wednesday on US 40 near the intersection of Jersey Ridge Road in Falls Township around 2 P.M. Boyd says Davis was stopped for a traffic violation and then arrested for his 12th OVI. Davis is scheduled to appear in Muskingum County Court on Wednesday at 9 A.M.

Family Fun Night at the Salvation Army

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Salvation Army is having a free Family Night on Friday night. The event lasts from 7 until 10:30 P.M., at the Salvation Army which is located at 515 Putnam Avenue in Zanesville.
