Maysville’s Clarke Steps Down as Football Head Coach

SOUTH ZANESVILLE, OH
After 13 years leading the Maysville Panthers football program, Craig Clarke has stepped down from his role as head coach, but will remain as a biology teacher until the end of the school year.
He finishes his Maysville tenure with a 75-60 overall record, highlighted by a six-year stretch from 2012 to 2017 which included five seasons of at least seven wins and three playoff appearances. His final game in charge of the Panthers did result in a 17-14 win over Crooksville back in late October.
“He was certainly a great asset to our kids and community and we hate to see him go” said Maysville athletic director Pat Miller.
The Panthers will now begin a search for a new head coach for the first time in nearly a decade and a half in South Zanesville.
