Players of the Week – December 9th-14th
Presented by City Tire Pros!
ZANESVILLE, OH
It was a huge week on the court for New Lexington, John Glenn, and Zanesville boys basketball, with all teams coming away with some big early season wins. For three players specifically, it was a memorable week as we take a look at our “City Tire Pros” players of the week!
We start with our game from Highway 103 with New Lexington defeating small school foe West Muskingum on Friday night, and that’s where the senior Bentley Hanson shined above the rest. He put in 22 points to get the Panthers back on the winning track with an eight-point victory to finish the week on a high note.
What a start to the season for John Glenn! Eric Sheck has his guys riding high with a 3-1 start to the season, and junior guard Stehl Bates is helping lead the way. He had 21 points in the Muskies’ home opening win against Philo on Friday night on z92 radio.
We had to wait an extra day for this last one, but it was well worth it. Zanesville picked up its first win of the season over LCL opponent Watkins, and Lucca Wood was the key in this one! He had 30 points including a stellar night from the free throw line in the Blue Devils’ win!
Congratulations to all three athletes on being named the “City Tire Pros” players of the week!
