Grace Ann Wilson, of Roseville, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at Clay Gardens Place in Zanesville. Born on July 22, 1936, in Cannelville, Ohio, Grace Ann’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and family. Her journey on this earth spanned 88 years, during which she touched countless lives with her warmth and finesse. Grace Ann’s story began as the beloved daughter of the late C. Elmer and Hazel (Neff) McConnell. Her early years in Cannelville were filled with the simple joys of small-town life, which laid the foundation for the remarkable woman she would become. In the bloom of her youth, she met and fell in love with Jimmie Wilson. Their hearts became one on July 17, 1953, and together they embarked on a life filled with love and mutual respect that would endure for decades. Their union was blessed with four children: Dean (Lisa) Wilson, Amy (Bill) Mill, Sarah (Doug) Pettit, and Heather Bathrick. Grace Ann’s role as a homemaker was one, she embraced with her entire being, providing a warm and nurturing home for her family. Grace Ann’s love story extended to the next generation, as she became a loving grandmother to Wesley Mill, Andy Mill, Austin Wilson, Angela Berkfield, Adam Faust, Derek Faust, Ashley Jones, and Erin Bathrick. She also had the joy of being a great-grandmother to several great-grandchildren, including the anticipated arrival of Grace Louann in June 2025, each of whom brought immense happiness and pride to her world. Although family was a huge part of her life, she was a dedicated member of the Eastern Star, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community. Grace Ann’s legacy is also marked by the family that preceded her in death. She was the last of her generation, joining her parents, C. Elmer and Hazel (Neff) McConnell, grandchild, Andrea Bathrick, her brothers, Arthur McConnell and Richard “Dick” (Rosemary) McConnell and son-in-law, Dave Bathrick.
