Exciting New Renovations at the Welcome Center

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Welcome Center has had some recent renovations and there are plans for more in the New Year.
Stephanie Winland, the Executive Director of the Muskingum County Convention and Facilities Authority, says they wanted to refresh the building to meet the needs of the 21st Century.
She says they’ve added a brand new LED screen wall in the main exhibit hall, renovated some of the downstairs conference rooms, as well as replaced the old carpet with hardwood flooring.
“Just basically making the facility shine.” Winland said. “Someone said and I like that, that [we’re] making the Welcome Center even more welcoming.”
Winland says the New Year will bring even more renovations to the Welcome Center.
She says they have plans to add a big outdoor space for all types of community events.
“It’s a construction project that’ll bring essentially 32 locations, under cover.” Winland said. “The pavilions are community pavilions, we’re hoping our Farmer’s Market, our Arts Festival, any outdoor event can have a home here, at the Welcome Center with plenty of parking. There’s a lot of changes and upgrades going on in downtown Zanesville and we’re really excited we’ll be part of that project.”
