Lawn Mowing Season Is Almost Upon Us
Spring is right around the corner and if temperatures stay as high as they have been lately it may be time to start thinking about lawn care.
Mowing is one of the most important steps performed in lawn maintenance. Properly mowed lawns will have fewer weeds, better moisture and produce lawns of generally better quality.
“It’s going to be here before we know it and the funny thing is we hear people say, ‘Oh I won’t have to mow for a few months,’ but it may be more like three, four weeks instead of a few months. Usually it’s around the first week or two of April, last year it was late but we think this year it will be on time,” said American Pride Owner, Ryan Dodson.
That means it’s time to pull those mowers out of the garage and perform your yearly maintenance.
“As far a lawn equipment goes the thing to do is come get their tune up parts, oil, oil filter, spark plugs, there’s going to be a lot of dead batteries. So you don’t want to think you’re going to be able to hop on the mower April 10th and just fire it up and go because most likely there’s going to be challenges there. So, best thing to do is get it out on a nice day and get it serviced and get ready to go.”
If you have questions about your mower or are in the market for a new one you can stop by American Pride at 700 McIntire Avenue.
