Terria Lawson

Terria L. Lawson, 72 of Zanesville, died 9:20 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Altercare of Zanesville. She was born Wednesday, October 15, 1952 in Zanesville, the daughter of Arthur Girton and Doris (Hern) Girton. She was married to Rick Lawson on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.

Terria was a dispatcher with Putnam Transfer for many years and recently employed with the Maple Avenue McDonalds. She enjoyed sewing, baking, especially no-bake cookies, and playing skip-bo and rummy with her grandchildren.

Terria is survived by her husband Rick, two children, Chad (Jennifer) Lawson and Amy (Nathan Gibson) Lawson; seven step-children, Misti Cox, Brad Pride, Brandon Lawson, Brian Lawson, Kim Gibson, Shannon Stackhouse and Austin Lawson; several grandchildren; many cousins who she considered brothers and sisters, Art Girton, Paul Girton, Chris Girton, Brent Girton and Lesley Girton.

In addition to her parents, Terria was preceded in death by a cousin, Dan Girton.

Friends may call Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating. And a caring cremation will take place.
