ZAAP Gallery To Feature New Artists at the First Friday Art Walk
ZANESVILLE, OH – Downtown Zanesville will come alive with creativity on January 3rd, as the First Friday Art Walks kicks off the new year.
This month, the ZAAP gallery will showcase works from its newest members during the January 2025 First Friday Art Walk. Featuring a selection of artwork from artists who joined over the past year, this event is the perfect way to welcome fresh talent into the community.
“I think it’s nice to give new artists a chance to show without having to do an entire featured show on their own. We get them all together, and they have their first show here without stressing about where they’re going to have it, how they’re going to set it up, and what they’re going to bring. It’s nice to give them a place and get them boosted up and shown off to the community in a place that people already know,” ZAAP Director Shelby Spilker said.
The art walk is free and open to the public and will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. With a variety of styles on display, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.
“We have a large array of artists. We have all kinds of styles and all kinds of mediums. It’s just something for everyone,” Spilker said.
This New Members Show will be held at the ZAAP Gallery located at 625 Main Street in downtown Zanesville. If you’re interested in becoming a member, membership is just $35 for the whole year. You can stop by the gallery to sign up.
