Zane State Preparing For Campus Safety Days Event
Zane State College is preparing for its Campus Safety Days event next week.
It’s held every year and is open to the school and public. Director of Public Safety Bethany Hayes gave us an overview of some of the topics that will be covered on the first day of the event.
“We’ll kick off the event this year with Senator Balderson at 9AM and he will be presenting on professionalism and leadership and then we have two more events for that day. At 11AM we have taking back the night, which talks about sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence and that will be presented by Ohio University Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program and the last event for the day is dealing with disgruntled people at 1PM with John Gibson. ”
Hayes told us some of the other topics on day two include meth lab awareness, fire extinguisher training, and staying smoke and tobacco free for good. Hayes says people always enjoy the event.
“Very very positive response. We are going to give a grand prize of a Kindle Fire away to try to have more people in. But a great response. Everybody always loves the presenters and brining people out of the community here to teach for us. So it always seems to be a great positive thing.”
The event will be held on March 23rd and 24th at the Zane State Campus Center in the conference room. No RSVP is needed and everyone is invited to attend.
