Charges Filed in Guernsey County Case

Guernsey County-  Charges have been filed against an Old Washington man.

Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announced 50-year-old Timothy Smith was charged with rape, a felony of the first degree, sexual battery, a felony of the third degree and three counts of having weapons while under disability, all felonies of the third degree.

Charges were filed at the Cambridge Municipal Court, and Smith was arraigned. The bond was set at $300,000 with no 10%. Further charges are expected when the case is presented to a Guernsey County Grand Jury.
