Drug-Free Muskingum is set to host their annual dodgeball tournament

ZANESVILLE, OH –Get ready to duck, dodge and donate.
Drug-Free Muskingum will be hosting their annual charity dodgeball tournament and there are still spots available for you or your team to sign up.
Drug-Free Muskingum’s Co-Founder Monica Batteiger is busy preparing for the tournament.
“We’re having an all-charity dodgeball tournament on January 19th, this is the third year that we’re having this tournament, and all the proceeds will go to the winner’s nonprofit that they choose. We are partnering with the Y and the health department this year again.”
Drug-Free Muskingum’s mission is to bridge the gap between the community and those in recovery. This is a community event, and everyone is welcome. While it does get pretty competitive, the new ‘Kids Zone’ addition makes it more family-friendly than ever.
“Last year we had a lot of kids there, but a lot of people left early just because they were there for so long and their kids had nothing to do,” Jared Hall, Dir. of Youth Development at the Muskingum YMCA said. “So, it’ll be a lot more fun for the kids, it’ll be more family friendly, and we are a family friendly facility, so we try our best.”
This is the second year that Drug-Free Muskingum has partnered with the Muskingum YMCA for the tournament. Both organizations are excited to continue and expand this partnership for years to come. To make things even more competitive, there will be a best team name and best uniform contest. If you’re interested in signing up, it is $60 to register a team of 6 or $75 for a corporate sponsorship. Head over to Drug-Free Muskingum’s Facebook page for more information.
