Muskingum Recreation Center Celebrates One Year Anniversary
The Muskingum Recreation Center turns a year old next week.
After years of planning, and fundraising, the Rec Center opened its doors on March 31st of last year. As a way to say thank you for the support, anyone can visit the Rec Center during normal business hours without charge Tuesday.
“We want people to see the facility,” said the Executive Director of the Rec, Beth Chapman. “A lot of folks have not been here yet, and we want to showcase the facility because we really are open to the community, and we want people to see what the benefits are of this facility to them.”
Executive Director, Beth Chapman, said the facility has allowed people to experience things that have never been seen in Zanesville before.
“We will continue to expand operations,” said Chapman. “We have a lot of people coming in to use the facility now, and we’re offering triathlons perhaps some duatholons, some different things that our community has not seen before.”
Chapman thanks the community for years of support to make the one year anniversary a possibility.
