Stabbing in Buckeye Lake

Licking County Sheriffs Office investigates a stabbing that took place at 3:00 Thursday morning in Buckeye Lake.

Deputies said they were called to Walnut Road on the report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival authorities found three parties on the porch of the home. 

Daniel Scarberry was bleeding from his back and a female was holding a bandage to his back. Deputies found a knife inside the home and learned Scarberry and a Michelle Persinger had a dispute and Persinger had stabbed Scarberry in the back with the knife. 

EMS treated Scarberry on the scene and Life Flight transported him to a Columbus Hospital. 

Persinger was taken into custody and taken to the Licking County Justice Center where she was booked on a felonious assault charge. She’ll be arraigned Thursday in Licking County Municipal Court.
