West Sweeps District 12 All-Star Games

Philo’s Corrie Burkhardt nabbed MVP honors with 20 points and 8 assists as the West girls handled the East, 100-66, in the District 12 Girls All-Star Game. Crooksville’s Jordan Smith stole the show at halftime by winning the three-point contest.

Zanesville’s Malik Bocook took home the MVP award in the boys game. The D-I District Player of the Year dropped 34 points to help lead the West to a 109-102 victory. Meadowbrook’s Isiah Green won the dunk contest with a through-the-legs and off-the-backboard reverse slam that brought the crowd to its feet.
