Reward Offered In Perry County Fires

The State Fire Marshall’s Office in Ohio is offering a reward for information on some possible arson fires in Perry County.

Investigators are seeking information from the public about a fire that occurred on Wednesday April 15th just before 7 a.m. at a vacant home on Sulphur Spring Road in Shawnee. The home does not have a known street address assigned to it because it has been vacant for some time.

Investigators were alerted to the fire when they were called to investigate another fire at a vacant home at 7925 Sulphur Spring Road on Febraury 7th.

In addition on January 28th Perry County Sheriff’s Deputies were told about a burnt vacant home at 6271 Sulphur Spring Road.

A reward of up to 5-thousand dollars is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the identification of the person responsible for the fires.
