Leandra Leffel

Leandra D. Leffel, 51, of Dresden, died Friday, January 10, 2025, at Genesis Hospice- Morrison House.
Born May 13, 1973, in Zanesville, she was the daughter of David Hindel and the late Carolyn Kay (Brennen) Hindel and a graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Leandra was a faithful member of the Trinway United Methodist Church, active Girl Scout volunteer with her daughter, and enjoyed traveling to the Great Smokey Mountains. She was a collector of sorts, she gathered Longaberger baskets, Boyd Bears and her favorite, green Santa Claus. Leandra worked for the Muskingum County Library System for 34 years and her love for reading deepened throughout her years there. As a child, Leandra enjoyed watching and collecting Garfield paraphernalia, later she enjoyed doing puzzles with her daughter and researching family genealogy.
Surviving is her daughter, Aurora Leffel, of the home; father, David (Marge) Hindel; brothers, Kevin (Amy) Hindel and James (Vikki) McGinnis Jr.; a sister, Maggie (Bill) Wisecarver; a close aunt, Judy (Richard) Goetz; nephew and niece, Brennen and Kinley Hindel; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; her library friends, Marsha and Carmaline and close friends, Teresa and Jessica.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Bank College Fund account for Aurora Leffel.
Family and friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
Leandra will be buried next to her mother, at Dresden Cemetery.
