Major Milestone for Kennedy’s Bakery

CAMBRIDGE, OH – Family-owned and operated Kennedy’s Bakery in Cambridge is celebrating a major milestone: its 100th anniversary.

This year marks the bakery’s 100th year of sweet success.  The bakery has seen many members of the Cambridge community and surrounding areas come by to join in the celebration. While the baked goods are a plus, it’s not just about the pastries—it’s about the people who make them and the memories they’ve created.

“My grandfather bought the Bakery January of 1925 and then my dad involved my sister [Patty] and my aunt. My dad went away to war, World War 2, back in the 40s and it put a real hardship on the bakery back then,” said owner Bobby Kennedy.

Despite the hardships of war and the COVID-19 pandemic, Kennedy’s Bakery has persevered through it all.

As they celebrate their centennial, the sentiment remains the same: a deep gratitude for the community that has supported them along the way.

“I feel so blessed,” said owner Patty Kennedy. “It’s amazing that we’ve been here for 100 years. It hasn’t been easy, as times have changed quite a bit, but I truly feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community.”

If you missed the anniversary celebration on January 8th, don’t worry! Kennedy’s Bakery will continue to celebrate throughout the year with special deals, merchandise, and other surprises. Be sure to check out their website and social media pages (@KennedysBakery) for more information.
