Jeremy Dollings

Jeremy J. Dollings, 52 of Zanesville, died at 8:15 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Genesis Hospital ED, following a sudden illness. He was born Friday, September 29, 1972 in Springfield, OH, the son of Jeffrey “Jeff” J. Dollings and Elizabeth “Beth” A. (Whikehart) Dollings.

Jeremy was a Bishop Rosecrans graduate and received his bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law at Ohio University, with the highest honor of summa cum laude. Jeremy was an avid sports fan, especially for The Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys. He was a fantasy sports guru. Jeremy enjoyed coaching baseball and being a little league umpire. He was a loving and caring son, a big brother who always looked after his family.

In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by nine brothers and sisters: Sean Dollings, Brian Dollings, Adam (Chelsie Wright) Dollings, Sarah (JB) Cunningham, Megan (Will Turnipseed) Dollings, Caitlin Dollings, Daniel Dollings, Abby (Drew) Kerns and Jenna Dollings of Zanesville; one sister-in-law Beth Durant-Dollings; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, with another nephew and great niece on the way; his four-legged family members Marty, Rascal and Sapphire. Jeremy had many special friends who he considered family as well.

In addition to his grandparents, Jeremy was preceded in death by one brother Matt Dollings and two cousins, Diane Dusenbery and Kelli Matson.

Jeremy gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM. Chaplain Randy Gearhart who was of much comfort to the family at Genesis ER, will be officiating the service.
