Edward Ferguson

Edward “Pepper” Carroll Ferguson 64, of Zanesville, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, with his family by his side. Ed was born on January 18, 1960, to Ernestine (Ferguson Kendrick) and Jessie Roberts. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Roberts; stepson, Tommy Fowler; grandparents, Earnest and Gladys Ferguson; sisters in law; Mable, Charlene and Marsha; brother-in-law, Keith; nephew, Mike and cousin Kenneth Ray.
Ed leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Patricia Ferguson; parents, Ernestine “Patsy” (Ed “Ted”) Kendrick; sister, Ericka; brother, Dannie Kendrick; children, Charla, Terrance, Taylor, Clinton and Eddie; 11 grandchildren, including Aubrie and Cain who he helped raise; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Bandis (Wayne) Mason; aunts, Frances Herring and Shirley (Ed) Page; special cousin Delana Taylor and several other cousins; special friends, Darren (Paula) Lomax, Michael “Juice”, Mark (Trina) Oats, Ray Massey and Barb young; as well as several other friends and family.
Ed was known by many as “Pepper”. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching football and basketball, both sports he played since he was a kid. Ed also enjoyed bowling in his free time, as well as spending time over a campfire with his friends or family. His dog, Ace was another enjoyment he took pride in. Ed was a chef who took pride in his work. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
You may call on the family on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11 am until 12pm with funeral services starting at 12pm at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Repass meal will follow at the Esquire Club, 111 State St. Zanesville Ohio. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
