Car into Mobile Home

**UPDATE 9:27 p.m.**

A car slammed into a house at 2036 Old Adamsville Road Saturday evening.

We spoke to Trooper Troy Hale of the Ohio State Highway Patrol who stated a white pick up truck was heading westbound on Old Adamsville Road before it went off the right side of the roadway, then the left side, striking a utility pole and then a house, ultimately overturning. Hale says the driver was 23 year old Nathan J. Lee from Norwich Ohio and was cited with OVI and failure to control. Hale described the damage extent.

“It looks like it’s going to be extensive damage to the house and then the vehicle, i wont know that till we get it overturned but it’s probably totaled also.”

The driver of the truck was male and sustained minor injuries. The female inside the house sustained unknown injuries. Both were transported to Genesis Hospital. A telephone pole near the home was snapped by the truck and the home was shifted from its foundation on impact. Hale says the driver of the truck did not attempt to break from hitting the building.

“[He’s] lucky he didn’t kill somebody. He’s lucky somebody was not killed in that house.”

Old Adamsville Road was temporarily blocked off while responders worked at the scene. Power was shut off to the home involved in the incident. Neighboring houses will not be effected. Washington Township Fire Department, Genesis Community Ambulance, Muskingum County Sheriffs Department and AEP Ohio also responded to the scene.

**UPDATE 8:24 p.m.**

State Highway Patrol suspects alcohol is a factor in the accident.
