Frazeysburg Teen Killed in Accident

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Frazeysburg teen has passed away following a Monday afternoon accident. 

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said around 4pm, 18-year-old Jessica Sivik was killed when the Honda she was driving struck the left rear corner of a 2007 Dodge Caliber. 

The Dodge Driven by a 17-year-old was stopped to make a left turn from the northbound lane of State Route 586 onto Pinewood Trail Road. 

Sivik’s Honda then spun into the opposing lane of traffic and was struck by a southbound 2012 Ford F350.

The driver of the Dodge was uninjured and the driver of the Ford, 54-year-old Scott A. James of Frazeysburg suffered minor injuries. 

All three drivers were wearing seatbelts. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined and remains under investigation.
