Pull Up a Chair for a Great Cause: CHAIR-ity Auction Returns
ZANESVILLE, OH – Get ready to dust off the old bar stool, rocking chair, or even car seat because the Eastside Community Ministries CHAIR-ity Auction is back for its 10th year! It’s time to give old chairs new life and support a great cause.
This one-of-a-kind auction invites the community to donate chairs of all kinds– rocking chairs, kitchen chairs, bar stools, and even bicycle seats. Add your creative touch by decorating them with a fun theme or unique accessories. You can also donate incentive items like quilts, pottery, gift cards, or raffle baskets. This “sit-tacular” event will help Eastside Community Ministry continue their amazing work within our community.
“It’s not only a time to raise money for our everyday programs, but it’s a time for the community to shine, to show off their creativity, and get their business name out there. It’s also a time for us to interact with the community and let them know what we’re doing here at Eastside. Eastside Community Ministry Executive Director Jamie Trout said, “People bring in baby items like a highchair and diapers and different things and maybe a gift card. We’ve also had people who donated seats to sporting events and to concerts, so people get really creative.”
The live auction will take place at the Colony Square Mall from February 20th to the 22nd. Be sure to stop in to preview the items and vote for the People’s Choice Award.
“We will have an online auction, silent auction, and live auction again this year. We’ll kick off and have a preview event on Thursday February 20th from 5 to 7. It gives people the opportunity to come in and check everything out, get to know about Eastside, enter in for some door prizes, and vote on their favorite chair,” Trout said.
