Mary Moore

Mary Louise Mincks Moore age 84, of Cumberland, OH passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. She was born September 1, 1940 in Marietta, OH daughter of the late Edwin Luther and Louise Arlene Gessel Mincks.

She loved to quilt and was a member of the Stitch and Chatter Quilting Club traveling to each other’s home to quilt and share in friendship. Mary was an avid reader and visited the library every week up until she was no longer able.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers John Mincks and Richard Mincks; sister Linda Mincks; brothers-in-law Harry McAuley and Rodney Moore; niece Angie McAuley Ward; and nephew Nicholas Mincks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Rolland Lee Moore, whom she married September 3, 1975; sisters Janet McAuley of Macksburg, OH, Ruth Ann (Ken) Kramer of Pittsburgh, PA, and Beverly (Dick) Ogle of Dexter City, OH; brother Bill (Jan) Mincks of Macksburg, OH; sisters-in-law Phyllis Mincks, Reba (Jeff) Petry, and Rita Mika; brother-in-law Roy Moore. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Halley’s Ridge Cemetery.
