Marvin Walker
Marvin E. Walker, 88, of Zanesville passed at 5:15 PM Monday, January 27, 2025, at The Oaks at Bethesda.
He was born on Tuesday, May 12, 1936, in Byesville, Ohio the son of the late Edward H. Walker and Isabell D. Wakeley Walker.
Marvin was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Marvin graduated from Byesville High school, Class of 1954. He attended Marietta College. Marvin retired after working as a State Plumbing Inspector. He was a member of the local Plumbers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Rita M. Andrews Walker; three children, Bryan (Sharon McDermott) Walker, Gerald (Kim) Walker and Susan (Lewis) Garver; a daughter-in-law, Linda Walker; six grandchildren, Chris Garver, Brianna Schaaf, Neal Walker, Sam Walker, Tyler Walker and Danielle Garver; seven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Andrews; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bob” Walker; a son Douglas Walker; a daughter, Cindy Sue Walker and a grandson, John Garver.
Per Marvin’s wishes a cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Burial to be held at a later date.
