Dora Gordon

Dora Lee (Sligar) Gordon, 62, of Byesville, passed away Monday (January 27, 2025) at her home.

She was born November 8, 1962 in Bay Harbor CA, daughter of the late Anita (Huffstutler) Sligar and Joseph Sligar.

She enjoyed Harley motorcycles, reading books, and traveling. She cherished spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elsie & Clarence Huffstutler and Emogene & Jess Sligar; and a sister, Doris Sligar.

Dora is survived by her children, Victoria Adams, Steven Adams, and Robert Schumucher all of Byesville; her grandchildren, Dezarae Adams, Easton Pierce, and Keirsten Adams; her great-grandson, Nash; her brother, Joseph Sligar of Cincinnati; her special sister, Debbi Cummings; her niece and nephew, Jasmin and Joey Sligar of Cincinnati; her special friend and bonus son, Joseph Fairchild of Newcomerstown; her significant other, William Chalfant of Byesville; and close friends, Melissa Regala of Washington, Chad Cummings of Washington, and Kayla of Columbus.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
