BSA Show Gratitude by giving an Award
The Boy Scouts of America are honoring local businesses that have donated to the Capital Campaign.
A gift of over $25,000 to the campaign earns membership into the National Second Century Society. The distinction shows gratitude toward organizations and people who help the B.S.A.
“We are here to present Mr. Littick and WHIZ a membership in what’s called the Second Century Society,” said chairman of the Muskingum valley Council Capital Campaign, Tom Sieber.
Littick said he’s grateful for the membership and for all scouting does for the area.
“I’m very honored and pleased to have received the award from the scouts,” Littick said. “What they do in our community and for our youth is just amazing and outstanding, and we’re glad to be helpful supporters of the organization.”
The Muskingum Valley Council also gave membership to 12 others. The donated money goes towards multiple projects. One of which is a renovated dinning hall at the Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation.
For years, half of the campers have been eating under canopies outside. Now, that is done, as the renovated building will allow all scouts to eat together. Inside.
