Martha “Marty” Lou (McGrath) Timberman

Martha Lou (Marty) McGrath Timberman, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Oaks Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Zanesville. She was born April 21, 1937 in Tucson, Arizona at a maternity clinic named the Stork’s Nest to Roy Thomas McGrath and Martha Lynn McGrath Lyon, both now deceased. Marty was a 1954 graduate of Pennsville High School, Meredith Business College and Ohio University; a retiree of a forty year career at General Electric Company in New Concord, OH. She then spent twenty years as an adjunct teacher of Business Administration at Zane State College. She was a member of Santoy Holiness Chapel from 1967-2025  and she was cofounder of Santoy Youth Camp and Vision Youth Camp. She spent much of her time attending revivals and church camp for years, driving her sister in Christ Gospel Singer Maxine Goins to different churches to sing. One of the joys of their lives was seeing people kneel at altars of prayer. Martha is survived by her son Lewis Page Timberman and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father Page Lyon, one infant sister Carol Sue McGrath, three half sisters: Mary Margaret McGrath Fox, Mildred May McGrath Edgell and Edith Ellen Lyon Wickham. Friends and family may call Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 1-2 p.m.  at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.  with Dale Darr officiating and Marty will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery.
