Small Plane Crash in Perry Co.

New Lexington- The Perry County Sheriff’s Office reports two people sustained minor injures after a plane crash.
Authorities said it took place just before 4:30pm when a Cirrus SR22 aircraft crashed upon landing just west of the runway near the Perry County Airport.
The sheriff’s office said the pilot and passenger, both of Delaware, Ohio were transported to Genesis Healthcare Systems in Zanesville for further evaluation The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of the families.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have been notified and will be conducting the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
