Veteran’s Appreciation Weekend to include Poker Run
Motorcyclists are showing their appreciation for veterans with a ride of respect.
Fink’s Harley Davidson will sponsor a Poker Run on Saturday June 13 as part of the first annual Veteran’s Appreciation Weekend. The run costs just $15 and includes a free T-shirt. The last bike will leave Terry’s Tavern at 1:00 p.m. that day and you can register until then. General Manager at Fink’s Troy Fink explained the route the motorcycles will ride that day.
“Poker Run will leave from Terry’s Tavern, first bike out at 11:00 a.m. [and] last bike out at 1:00 p.m.,” said Fink. “It’s going to go north up toward Dresden, Coshocton [and] hit some of the VFW’s, some of the American Legions up there and then circle back around to end up back at Terry’s Tavern. ”
There are T-shirts available for those not participating in the run and the cost is just $10. You can pick them up at Terry’s Tavern or Fink’s in South Zanesville.
The weekend will kick off with a ‘Flags of Honor’ presentation June 12. June 13 following the Poker Run there will be live music on the Lorena docked at Terry’s Tavern and the weekend will wrap up with a golf outing at Green Valley Golf Course on June 14. All proceeds from the weekend will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
