Tri-Valley Board Voting on Hiring of Kirk Henderson as Superintendent

Dresden, OH- The Tri-Valley School District has a top contender for superintendent.

Kirk Henderson’s appointment to the position is pending approval by the Tri-Valley School Board at Thursday evening’s Board OF Education meeting.

School officials said he was chosen due to his extensive background in school leadership, his ability to connect with individual stakeholders and his clear passion for serving the students, staff and community.

“Mr. Henderson’s experience and professionalism set him apart with the different stakeholder groups of the district and we feel he is going to be a great fit here at Tri-Valley. We are excited for the future,” said Board President Scott Ford.

Henderson currently serves as the assistant superintendent of Circleville City Schools, overseeing day-to-day operations of the school district. Henderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from The Ohio State University, a certificate in learning disabilities from Capital University and a Master of Education from Ashland University.

“I’m excited to move into the district and start getting to know the people in the Tri-Valley family,” said Henderson.

Henderson is eager to begin his transition as superintendent and plans to be visible in the district over the coming months prior to his official start date of August 1, 2025.
