David Cooper

David M. Cooper, 63, of Zanesville, Ohio fell asleep on February 16, 2025, at approximately 12:55 pm at the Morrison House surrounded by his loving family. David was born September 15, 1962, to the late Leonard H. Cooper and Mary F (Norris) Cooper in Zanesville, Ohio. David passed away leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness. He had a deep passion for fishing, shooting pool, and enjoying family gatherings by the pool. Music and fitness were also close to his heart.
He was proceeded in death by Father Deacon Leonard H. Cooper, Grandmother Harriet (Stanley) Cooper, Helen E. (Singer) Norris, Grandfather Edgar L. Norris, Nephew Michael V (Spike) McCoy, Brother-Inlaw Harry “Junebug” Garland, Sister-Inlaw Curly L. Cooper, Several Aunts & Uncles.
He leaves to mourn Mother Mary F. (Norris) Cooper, wife Lisa (Krouskup) Cooper, son Jason Tucker, Siblings Carmen R. (Dan) Taylor, Leonard L. (Cindy) Cooper, Deacon Robert L. (Shelly) Cooper, Vanessa L. (James) Booker, Sharon (Rob) Brown, Robin D. Garland, Joey A. (Jockette) Cooper, Godson David M. Cooper, Aunt Sarah Cole, Uncle Fred, Aunt Josephine Gillard, Several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Special friends Chris Brent, Terry Wooten, Spiker, Carl Myers, Michael Lee, and Brent Harper. Host of friends and family including his Cliff’s family.
A dedicated and hardworking man, David devoted 32 years of service to Cliffs, embodying commitment and perseverance. Beyond his career, he found fulfillment in giving back to his community. He was an active volunteer at the Church of God and Saints of Christ food pantry, assisting with pick-ups and building maintenance. His generosity and willingness to help others in any way he could were a testament to his compassionate spirit. David’s warmth, dedication, and love for family and friends will forever be remembered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
You may call on the family on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 11 am until 12pm with funeral services starting at 12 pm at Church of God Saints of Christ, 516 Cliffwood Ave. Zanesville Oh 43701. Burial will follow the next day, Monday February 24, 2025, at 10 am in Woodlawn Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
