One Killed in Single Vehicle Accident on CR 7

Muskingum County- The State Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a single vehicle crash on County Road 7 in Clay Township.

It took place just before 11:30pm Wednesday, February 19. Authorities said the vehicle was traveling east on the roadway when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned down an embankment.

The patrol said the driver, 48-year-old Eric Perry was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger 40-year-old Shane Carpenter was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Genesis Hospital where he was evaluated before being sent to Grant Hospital for life threatening injuries.
